In this training, instructor will cover the tenets of liberation psychology, intersectionality, anti-oppression, and ways to incorporate these tenets in therapy. Participants will learn about specific interventions to integrate into current work with clients. Instructor will facilitate discussion among attendees about implicit bias and how to challenge implicit bias within themselves.
Objectives include: Discuss elements of liberation psychology, intersectionality, and anti-oppression, apply liberation psychology and intersectionality to therapy practice, and identify tangible interventions participants can implement in counseling sessions.
