Lauren Miller

Lauren (they/them) is a compassionate human being and approaches their work with humility, rigor, humor and joy. They have provided trauma focused emotional support for over a decade and have been in private practice for eight years. They deeply enjoy being present with and supporting people in their process of self-inquiry and healing. Clients say they are attuned, frank, and listen deeply. They believe that suffering is the result of interlocking systems of oppression and that most people are doing the best they can to make it through.
Their approach is deeply practical and rooted in study. Lauren utilizes somatics to support you in finding ways of being that feel more desirable for you. They believe and have seen in their work with clients that often we need resourcing over analysis to get to the other side. Somatics is an emergent field of support and the joys of embodiment reach back into the deep time of our ancestors. We were made for a life where our bodies are able to give us feedback and we are able to soothe, ground, motivate and just be.
Lauren has been formally trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Generative Somatics, Movement for Trauma, Community Based Resilience Model, Natural Horsemanship Attachment Training, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Releasing Exercises, Structural Dissociation Models, and Narrative Therapy.
