Cheryl Taylor, PA-C

Cheryl Taylor is an accomplished board-certified Physician Assistant with over 20 years of experience in Neuro-Trauma Critical Care  and advanced training in Functional Medicine. Her passion lies in uncovering the root cause of brain dysfunction, mental health issues, and cognitive decline. She integrates a whole-systems personalized approach to care – drawing on extensive training from the Institute for Functional Medicine, Kharrazian Institute, Amen Clinics and the Bredesen Protocol. She is also trained as a Duke Integrative Health Coach and Heartmath practitioner.

Cheryl’s clinical philosophy is rooted in compassionate care, collaborative healing, and the belief that every patient deserves to be seen, heard and supported. Her whole-systems, integrative approach to health examines the complex interplay between genetics, environment, nutrition, lifestyle, stress, and past trauma experiences to uncover the root causes of dysfunction. She is also passionate about the integration of psychedelic medicine as a cutting-edge therapeutic option, offering profound breakthroughs in mental and behavioral health. 

Through comprehensive assessments Cheryl seeks to discover the underlying imbalances contributing to a person’s physical, mental, and cognitive health concerns. She empowers patients with the tools, knowledge, and care plans they need for sustainable healing and long-term vitality. Cheryl understands deeply that optimal brain health is key to a vibrant, meaningful life and is passionate about supporting patients on their journey to emotional and brain wellness. 

Outside of her professional work, Cheryl is an outdoor enthusiast, nature lover, adventure seeker, woodworker, and dog agility competitor. These passions reflect her deep appreciation for movement, nature and meaningful connection – values she brings into both her life and her practice.
